Well, I just finished two weeks of training for CenturyLink Internet Help Desk and got the one of the best scores in the class. I start on Monday taking calls still in a training setting for three weeks working from 13:00 to 22:00. The account I am on is not nearly as anal about getting off the phones to go take a leak like Convergys was. I am trying to get on to over nights because I get to be cross trained into voice repair and the call volume is not as much after probably around 2200 or 2300. I think things are going to be good here.
The grass desperately needs mowing since my bigger mower got broke. I have a small push mower that will do the job with some work but it has been just to hot these last few days here to get it done. Today is the first day in the lower 90s. The past 10 or so days has been in the mid 100s with a heat index in the low to mid 110 to 115. Now that’s hot. I was in Vegas for a while a few years back and it gets that hot but here the heat is a lot more humid. Now down in South Louisiana, there is some serious humidity! Shreveport/Bossier City is not quite so bad but still!
My father-in-law hit really good last night at the casino here. He hit a $3,750 jackpot! And also hit several 3 digit hits later on in the night! Gee, now if I could get that lucky! But let’s remember how much he plays! Kewl for Geno!
I talked with my sister, Cassie, for about two hours today and got caught up on her trip to Canada. She also popped moo moo into the crypt in California and spoke my ignit half sister in California. It turns out that Auntie Bobbi is still alive but has Alzheimer’s dementia. If I remember right, she was about 7 or 8 years older than moo moo. That would put her about 90. Auntie Lorraine was just a few years older but we lost her at a relatively young age to breast cancer. Auntie Violet was the oldest of the sisters and passed just after the turn of the century if I remember correctly in her early 90s. So I have longevity going for me on moo moo’s side of the family.
I am hovering around 238. The doc checked my cholesterol levels and they were down around 258. Definitely better then the 299 they were in April but still not nearly where they need to be. So now I am taking a statin , generic Zocor I believe, and have another appointment with the doc in October. He probably won’t be pleased with the weight loss or lack there of so far, but I have two months to hit it seriously.
