I had planes to head south this weekend to Marksville but decided against it. I will be heading there next week though without a doubt. I just read that Avoyelles was spared the brunt of last winter storm to roll through Louisiana. One to three inches of rain fell in 24 hours. However, western Louisiana took it the hardest. Leesville received over 16 inches in that same 24 hour period. While I feel for that part of the state, I do feel better about not going until next week to check on the place. It’s been just over two months now and with spring and summer quickly approaching, I will have to go at least once a month. I do look forward to the trips back to the old homestead.
This weekend has plans for getting the patio on the back cleaned up and get the garden tilled in preparation for planting in the next few weeks. I am also getting back into video editing again with the recordings from the television as well as the movies that I take with the phone. I spent all of yesterday working with different trial software until I decided on a piece called TMPGEnc Authoring Works 5. It’s going to cost me about $100 but I’ve saved enough pennies to get it. That tied with the DVD copying software that also works as video converter does pretty much everything I need it to do. I will in the future need to upgrade the DVD copying software to support bluerray but since I don’t have a blueray reader in my computer yet, there’s no need to at this time.
I just finished writing about the time Pam was taking the wrong meds because of Wal Mart incompetance. It brought back some pretty ugly memories but we need to get that behind us and make sure Wal Mart pays for their mistake.
Until next time…
