We’re closer to Civil War now than we ever have been.

My family wasn’t even here until the late 1890s. My grandmother was brought here as an indentured servant when she was five. For those who don’t know what an indentured servant is, Merriam-Webster defines it as “a person who signs and is bound by indentures to work for another for a specified time especially in return for payment of travel expenses and maintenance”

My grandmother was between two and three years old. She couldn’t even write much less sign a contract. It’s a fancy term for slavery. She had to also pay for her food, clothing and roof over her head, maintenance. I am white Irish, my ancestors were slaves, yet you don’t see me crying in the streets whining for reparations from people who had nothing to do with it.

I will respond with my life in service to this country even if that means taking up arms against domestic enemies. The liberal Left are now the domestic enemies they were previous to the first American Civil War. I truly hope it does not come to this but I see even darker times ahead.
