It’s been a while since I’ve written.  The web site has gone through an update and for the most part is done.  I’ve learned a lot from doing the update.  What is bad is that I could have been learning more about web development starting about 7 years ago when I first got VS2005.  I am a application db developer and configured it for that type of development.  I did not realize that it could be reconfigured for web development.  I had that epiphany about a week ago and realize the 7 years of the dark ages, much like the 800 years or so of the Dark Ages.

Work has changed up a little for me.  I am more involved in training now that I have been.  First two weeks of of January, I was in what’s called DoIt.  A walking SME for new hires.  Since then I have worked exclusively with the improvement log system and am now managing Nicki’s emails from the client as well.  It’s a full time job doing both.  I am being treated more and more like a manager and I am in almost all respects.  Just don’t have the teeth.

Went South for a day to check in on the old homestead.  Still there and in one piece.  Pam was so cute, she thought some one had cut the screen at the kitchen.   I told her that the hole had been there since I moved back and pushed the bird nest out through it.  I had to walk the entire place to ease her mind.  I figured the plac was fine when the door was still locked and the TV was still in place right where I had left it.

I haven’t written so much also because I forgot my phone app and then couldn’t remember the password I set up here.  I guess I am getting old, nah
