I just finished my first week back at work from vacation and I am looking forward to enjoying the weekend. There was a position at work open in Workforce management that I put in for but did not get. The big boss thought I would grow bored with it and said it did not use my skills effectively. I then hear about this new queue being started in the call center. It’s a lead tech queue within out own call center that I was asked if I wanted to be a part of. It means that i will be cross trained into voice repair and handle calls from Work At Home Voice and Data agents. Voice repair is not an issue, I did after work on KSUs and data/voice integrations systems for Nortel Networks. It also means that whatever accelerators that I am making on my last day of phones with on the data account should be locked in. If that is true and barring no crappy customer surveys, I should hit all three bonuses this week for $12.50 and hour. A nice steady raise would be nice. I’ve also been asked to expand the training trend analysis application to include voice repair now. It gives me more opportunity to expand my resume with Teleperformance ASD and enhance my programming skills at a higher rate of pay than I did the last time I did it. I did it for $11 an hour last time. With the accelerator lock, it would go to $12.50 or $26,000 a year. With free medical and 1 for 1 401K matching it’s not a bad wage for the area. I start next week working from 12p to 9p. I am not sure what the days are just yet, I should that info tomorrow from the training manager.
