Marksville is Gone

I sold 529 N Preston Street, Marksville, Louisiana, 71351-2447 on 31 May 2024 to Jennifer Falls of 521 N Preston Street, Marksville, Louisiana. My mother donated the property to me in January of 1987 after purchasing it sometime in 1977 or 1978.  I moved there the summer of 1978, the summer I turned 16, from Alexandria.  However, I happily returned to school at St. Pauls in Covington the following fall and remained until I graduated in 1980 then left Marksville in 1981 when I joined the U.S. Air Force to escape my mother for the final time. Unfortunately, my sister was left behind in the aftermath at 740 N Preston because of my mother’s last acts.

Update: I stickied this on 7/2/24 02:35 to remind to get out and move on and get things set up.  The Astro shop is built, no power to it yet except by extension cord but still get up and get some pictures taken.  You’re on PTO for a week for god’s sake.   This place is history and a memory now…

Spoke with Sissy today, irritated me as usual. I un-stickied it on 7/5/24; no need to be reminded of what I already know. Plus is messes with the symmetry of the site.
