A New Beginning – Skinner Ln, Betty and a Return to Facebook

I closed on the 17th of August have now officially moved to 2142 Skinner Lane.  I sold the 21 F-150 on the 2nd of September and bought a 23 Ford Mustang Mach E GT X4 Racing Edition. There were a number of reasons why I sold my 21, I loved it. However, the Mustang is truly a  bitcihin ride, 0 to 60 mph in 3.8!  When I was a young man, in the military, I worked flight line aviation, F-16 avionics, Communications, Navigations, Penetration Aides Systems Specialist.  There was a voice warning system on the jet, programmed with a female voice.  We called her Betty.  Some called her Bitchin Betty. She’d tell the pilot from time-to-time warming, warning or pull up, pull up pull up. It’s my first Pony and her name is Betty.

I asked Betty to drive me home Saturday night from Bossier City, La. to Oak Grove, La.  It’s about a 160-mile trip on freeway, state and parish roads. And she said she would, as long as I promised to keep my eyes on the road with her and take the wheel from time to time when she wasn’t sure while on the freeway.  And she’d take the wheel from time to time on the state and parish roads when I needed a very brief break to stretch my fingers. She only asked me twice and reminded me once on the freeway. And she did on the state and parish roads a couple of times.  Betty, I love you.  Welcome to Ford BlueCruise 1.3

Sprint is going dark soon now, and I am moving to an account called SIRVA.  It’s a relocation services company.  I’ve been in intense training the last week all the while moving and closing on this place.  I’ve finally got the animals and moved will be working from Skinner for a couple of weeks to settle in.  The beginning of retirement has begun.  I’ve decided to return to Facebook, simply for the resources for the Mustang Mach E forum that Costa talked about.  No other crap will be tolerated from it like it was in the past.
