Laura got really mean, she was still Category 2 by the time she got to where we are. Her eye was about 60 mils west of where we are in Marksville. We lost power for about 15 hours, a lot of out neighbors are still without power. We’re lucky to live so close to the fire and police departments, they just around the corner. Emergency services always get fixed first and we’re on the same power circuit as they are.

Laura didn’t leave a lot of debris in my yard and she didn’t drop a lot of rain either. She was the most powerful hurricane that I’ve been through. She left a lot of destruction in her wake. I’m glad that we got out of it with no damage, very lucky and by the grace of God
