The Like button has been deactivated. It doesn’t display correctly when in Post Preview on the Home Page. Bummer, the search continues…

Just got some assistance from the support forum for this new theme. And they told me exactly what I needed to do to get the background to display. If I upgrade to the Pro version of the theme, I’ll be able to use the control panel to control almost every aspect of the color settings. Going to check out the rest of theme’s options before making a final decision if I am going to invest or not. But it looks like I’ve gotten things settled down as far as how to make this place I call home look. Welcome Catch Flames from Catch Themes

The theme I was using, Easel, doesn’t support short codes. That breaks a lot of things. Well it was a nice theme while it lasted. Looks like the theme creator hasn’t touched the support forum in over six years. Bummer, really like flexibility of the layout. So bear with me as things change around here! Color scheme might be a little garish right now, it’s a work in progress…

The last theme didn’t allow for my menu of links on the left. The current theme gives me the same abilities that Easel did plus some. Now I just have to figure out how to change some things around, like where’s my background. Easel didn’t let me configure every color from the control panel but I’ll figure it out eventually.

Going back to my roots when I was a Sysop in the 80s and 90s running a BBS on PCBoard. For those who don’t know what that is. I ran community bulletin board similar to fuckbook, while Zuckerturd was still in freaking diapers. People would call in on their phone lines with their modem and download files, upload files, send email via Fidonet, chat with each other via forums and even chat with others that were online at the same time. I usually don’t link to Wikipedia but the entry for Fidonet is accurate. Hard to believe it’s still around. More on this later…
