I knew that my place in Marksville<\/span><\/span> was close to the areas affected by the\u00a0 Mississippi flooding but did not realize just how close.\u00a0 Only 20 miles away to the east and north of Marksville is the Lake Ophelia National Wildlife<\/span> Refuge which is being flooded now as well as the<\/span> backwater area of the northeastern<\/span> area of the parish<\/span>.\u00a0 Things are steady for now but I will be heading south next Wednesday just to make\u00a0 sure that things are ok<\/span><\/span>.\u00a0 Currently only<\/span> secondary roads and some camps are affected.\u00a0 Neither of which directly affect my place.\u00a0 I had planned on going<\/span><\/span> out this weekend but for some reason, I did not feel like going.\u00a0 I hope it was not a mistake, not that here was anything I could do anyway.\u00a0 I have no insurance on the place.\u00a0 That needs to change.<\/p>\n

Yesterday, we found out why our payments here in Bossier went up.\u00a0 Pam lost her multi-line<\/span> discount because\u00a0her car policy and the house policy had different names.\u00a0 That is going to be solved as well as getting a refund from State Farm from the beginning of the year.\u00a0 I also got a quote for full coverage for both vehicles for about $116.\u00a0 I am currently paying $77 for minimum on both vehicles and nice things settle down with getting Pam’s multi-line restored, I will get an additional 17% discount making the payment about $96.\u00a0 Hmmm<\/span><\/span> minimu to full coverage on both cars for only 19 bucks, that’s a no brainer<\/span><\/span>.\u00a0 And I always did like State Farm.\u00a0 I had been with them until I moved back in 08.\u00a0 When we go in to take care of the multi-line<\/span>, I will\u00a0 get them to quote basic insurance<\/span> on the<\/span> structure in Marksville.\u00a0 Geico<\/span><\/span> refused<\/span> to do it when I asked for them to do it.\u00a0 Their loss, State Farm’s gain.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
