First. the post to the Sky Searchers<\/a><\/p>\n

A construction company has been located and engaged for the main building. They’ve also done one building with a roll off roof for a 12×12 well house, super excited, waiting to see the pictures.<\/p>\n

I’ve ordered my third mount for the EAA station which will also be the grab-n-go mount, the NYX-101<\/a>. I had thought about waiting for the Sky Watcher strain wave mount, but the NYX-101 can carry more weight and I’ve seen it in action with a Celestron C11, awesome mount, awesome results.<\/p>\n

The EQ6-R mount gets an upgrade, the Pegasus Astro Power Box Saddle<\/a><\/p>\n

Since I lost my first astro camera about two years ago, my Canon T2i, I ordered the QHYCCD 268M<\/a> to replace it; yeah, it’s mono, but I have the SV405CC that is almost APS-C. Figured it’s time to start diving into mono once the observatory is up and online.<\/p>\n

I’ve decided to install piers for the two permanent stations; however, they won’t be buried in the concrete, just bolted! The PrimaluceLab C82 Pier<\/a> Going to have to be patient and wait for them to come back in to stock; there was one, but the budget didn’t flush out until it was too late to order it, someone else had already snatched it up!<\/p>\n

I have one OTA left to decide on to complete the range of focal lengths at which I shoot at, I have a hole between 600mm and 1300mm. I’m looking at the Askar 130PHQ; but I could save some cost with another Aksar, the 140 APO Triplet. Both are nice scopes.<\/p>\n

Decisions, decisions, decisions… Luckily, this one can wait! The third station shall not go to waste, my old friend, the Sky Watcher ED80 shall be brought back out for :Astronomer1: and :galleleo: , now that the AZ-EQ5 will be available!<\/p>\n

Really looking forward to getting the observatory up and online…<\/p>\n
