My mother donated the property to me in January of 1987 after purchasing it sometime in 1977 or 1978.&nbsp; I moved there the summer of 1978, the summer I turned 16, from Alexandria.&nbsp; However, I happily returned to school at St. Pauls in Covington the following fall and remained until I graduated in 1980 then left Marksville in 1981 when I joined the U.S. Air Force to escape my mother for the final time.
