Some quick research showed the location is probably the best location I will be able to find within the budget I have for this. SQM = 21.75, Bortle rating 3.7, to the east are bayous then a short distance to the Mississippi River and after that, Mississippi. There is a cell tower 600 feet from the house to the west. Two houses, one about 250 and the other about 300 feet away, the closes one after that is 600 feet. The area is known as the Ark-La-Miss in West Carroll Parish. I’ve set up a look-see with a realtor, Hannah Williams, this Saturday for 17:30. <\/p>\n

\nThe price dropped on the property by $10,000. I had Pam go out and take a look. I got an hour video tour of the interior. It was open and unlocked. Locks don’t appear to work. Electrical can’t be turned on, it’s been gutted for copper and absolutely anything else of value. Found out from the notice on the window that the house is in foreclosure and owned by a bank. I’m still going out this Saturday to have a look see with my own eyes but in the meantime, I’ve submitted an offer for $32,500, they’re now asking $45,000. Hannah tells me that things are going to go much slower because a bank owns it. And they don’t usually counteroffer, they just reject and then we resubmit.<\/p>\n

\nNo there still no end in sight for this journey. The house weas in need of repairs to make it livable and it was within budget but the cell tower I thought was so good breaks it because it is so close. I move on in hopes of finding at least as good a location as this one but without a cell tower 600 feet away with an aviation light flashing white. Perhaps if it were flashing red, I would have tried to take the time to see if it could be filtered out but alas, white is a broadband signal, while red is narrow band. If you filter out white, you filter out everything.<\/p>\n
