Her eye was about 60 mils west of where we are in Marksville.  We lost power for about 15 hours, a lot of out neighbors are still without power.  We&#8217;re lucky to live so close to the fire and police departments, they just around the corner.  Emergency services always get fixed first and we&#8217;re on the same power circuit as they are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Laura didn&#8217;t leave a lot of debris in my yard and she didn&#8217;t drop a lot of rain either.  She was the most powerful hurricane that I&#8217;ve been through. She left a lot of destruction in her wake.
